The mandate of Focus Group 5 is to drive the innovation of oceanographic information infrastructure towards robust designs and systems providing accessible, sustainable and useful solutions for a broad range of stakeholders from scientists, governments, industries down to local communities. This will entail critical and inclusive evaluation of capacities and requirements for such a system, undertaking the development of the design and prototype for such a sustainable fit-for-purpose system, understanding and supporting other CoastPredict focus areas, and providing coordination across multiple international resources, expert groups and stakeholders.
