Focus Group 6  will foster capacity development endeavors in support of the objectives of CoastPredict, other projects and networks of the  UN Decade for Ocean Science, and relevant ocean science and stakeholder communities in general. This mandate will be pursued via direct actions on the part of the Focus Group, and by providing coordination and offering guidance to other CoastPredict projects to ensure they include capacity development efforts wherever possible and appropriate.
