The last mile to the coast: CoastPredict initiatives to support resilience in vulnerable regions
This lunch-time event will present the latest progress in the design of regional projects and invites feedback from Member States on the GlobalCoast framework and potential support, to ensure alignment with national and IOC priorities.
This is a joint event with the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, which is a transnational cooperation instrument promoted by 30 Member States under the EU Research & Innovation Framework Programme. The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership will present strategic priorities and funding opportunities to promote sustainable ocean economies and enhance coastal resilience through collaborative action and knowledge-based management.
[Lunch provided]
This side event follows a year on from a meeting held alongside the IOC-Executive Council 57th Session, and will provide an update on the work that has been progressed with regional IOC Sub-Commissions, The Pacific Community, and local partners to shape regional projects to address coastal resilience.
